Ah… things are finally getting back to normal. We are all finally well after a few weeks of absolute misery. The flu descended upon our house (specifically on Hunt) in early February. Immediately following his recovery, his little brother was burning up with fever and laid up on the couch. Flu + Ear infection. Same week, we had an encore performance of the flu - only this one was the worst - the stomach flu. We fell like dominoes - each one about 12 hours behind the other. It was a bad bad time & I am glad to see all of us up and out of our pj’s.
And to tie up my last blog entry regarding the drama event that is the CPSIA - I no longer fear that I will not have a shop to work on, obsess over and shamelessly promote around the clock… thanks to the delay of enforcement of mandatory testing of {just about} any & all products intended for use by children 12 or younger. Many of the products in my shop were on the endangered list less than a month ago. They are now free to roam on the site… for now. This scare has shown me just how fragile things can be. I would not have been able to stay up & running had this piece of wondrous hell been allowed to pass unchecked last week. The delay has given me time to assess my options and get ready for whatever is next. Knowing that things can change so quickly has opened my eyes.
I am working on some ideas for a couple of side projects that I hope to be able to work on soon. Once I find all of the scraps of paper I have been jotting things down on I will be able to get a clear idea of what kind of project I am actually talking about! Lets just hope this/these make it past the concept phase! That’s always been a big hurdle for me, but with the drive I now have to do.things.now. I think there is a good chance something will come of at least one of the scraps of paper…
